The “1234” next to the metronome is your count-in. I usually leave the metronome on while recording and turn it off while listening back. Clicking the metronome image will turn the metronome on and off. You can change your metronome settings to the right of the LCD window. Click the dropdown to the right and select “Beats & Project (Large).” You can make this window bigger if you’d like. If you want to change the tempo, key, or time signature of the song, you can do that in this center section. In the middle of the main interface is the LCD. We’ll dig into key commands at the end of this section! I prefer to use key commands for all these functions. This is where you start and stop your song and even begin recording. To the right of Quick Help is the playback transport. Just hover your mouse over a button you don’t understand, and Quick Help will tell you exactly what it does.
